A. All applicants and licensees under this ordinance must inform the city clerk in <br /> writing within seven(7) days if any of the required of any applicant changes, <br /> ceases to be true or is superseded in any way by new information, including but not <br /> limited to changes in driver's license status, driving record, or criminal history. <br /> B. Failure to notify the clerk as required under this section constitutes grounds for <br /> suspension or revocation of the for-hire vehicle business license and/or for-hire <br /> driver's license. <br /> Section 23: Driver's license-Display. <br /> Such license shall be displayed in a conspicuous place inside the for-hire vehicle as <br /> directed by the city. <br /> Section 24: Suspension-Revocation of for-hire driver's licenses. <br /> Any driver of a for-hire vehicle will have his/her for-hire driver's license suspended or <br /> revoked if <br /> A. At any time his/her state motor vehicle operator's license is suspended or revoked; <br /> B. It is discovered after license issuance that he/she has an infirmity of the body or <br /> mind which renders him/her unfit for the safe operation of a for-hire vehicle; <br /> C. He/she uses or is found to be in possession of controlled substances or alcohol <br /> while in or while operating any for-hire vehicle; <br /> D. Charges a passenger a rate or fare other than that provided for in this ordinance; <br /> E. At any time he fails to meet the qualifications for a for-hire driver; <br /> F. Made any false statement in his/her application or made any omissions; <br /> G. Drove a taxicab without a valid for-hire driver's license; <br /> H. Failed, while operating or in control of a for-hire vehicle, to display identification <br /> or a sign, plaque or card with the information and in the manner and form required <br /> in this ordinance; <br /> I. Violates the cruising or soliciting prohibitions contained in this ordinance; <br /> J. At any time exhibits conduct which would lead the chief of police to reasonably <br /> conclude that the applicant does not possess the skill, care and judgment necessary <br /> to operate the for-hire vehicle with due regard for the safety of passengers and the <br /> public at large; <br /> K. At any time exhibits conduct which would lead the chief of police to reasonably <br /> conclude that the applicant does not possess the trust and honesty necessary in <br /> dealing with money and property of the public; <br /> L.. At any time exhibits conduct which would lead the chief of police to reasonably <br /> conclude that the applicant is immoral or desires such license to enable him to <br /> engage in an immoral act, practice or enterprise;. <br /> M. Violates any of the provisions of this ordinance; or <br /> N. Fails to promptly deliver to the city's police department,within twenty-four hours, <br /> all property of value left unattended by any passenger in any for-hire vehicle. <br /> Section 25: Vehicle occupancy-Driver's working hours-Driver's condition. <br /> A. It is unlawful for any person other than paying passengers and the driver thereof to <br /> occupy any for-hire vehicle;provided,that this section shall not prohibit the <br /> 13 <br />
