Exhibit A The original contract between the City of Everett (City) and BHC Consultants included a task (task 500) for engineering services during construction. The fee associated with this task was estimated prior to design. Some details of the project and an extended construction duration period resulted in effort that exceeded what was initially estimated in some cases. The additional engineering services during construction are as follows: Task 700 – Additional Engineering Services During Construction. $42,058 Subtask 701 – Project Management. $16,206 The overall construction schedule is significantly longer than what was initially estimated, mostly due to delayed procurement timelines. An additional 9 months of ESDCs and contract administration is required. The cost breakdown of the additional fee for this subtask is shown in the attached Exhibit A-1. Subtask 702 – Engineering Review. $7,182 The project has required the review of more submittals, RFIs, and other documentation than were initially estimated. The cost breakdown of the additional fee for this subtask is shown in the attached Exhibit A-1. Subtask 703 – Site Visits. $8,889 As the construction duration extends beyond what was initially planned, additional site visits are needed. This fee includes travel, time spend on-site, and development of trip summary memo. The cost breakdown of the additional fee for this subtask is shown in the attached Exhibit A-1. Subtask 704 – Meetings. $9,781 As the construction duration extends beyond what was initially planned, additional meetings are needed. This fee assumes two staff will attend an additional 22 meetings lasting 1 hour each.
