4 <br /> ::ORDINANCE NO...4LTL. <br /> An Ordinance providing for emergency expenditures for the replacement <br /> of the water main on Colby Avenue from 41st Street south to a point approx- <br /> imately 200 feet south of 42nd Street in Everett , by the removal of the old <br /> water main, installing a new water main and doing all other necessary work <br /> to make a complete replacement of said water main, at said location, appro- <br /> priating Five Hundred Dollars for materials and supplies to be used in the <br /> project , the issuance of emergency warrants therefor and declaring an emer- <br /> gency. <br /> ri CITY OF lP TT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. That a public emergency exists and that the amount of the <br /> expenditures therefor could not have reasonably been foreseen at the time <br /> of making the budget for the year 1935 (to-wit, in October , 1934); that <br /> said emergency has been caused by the immediate necessity of repairing and <br /> replacing of an old and decayed water main with a new water main on Colby <br /> Avenue from 41st Street south to a point approximately 200 feet south of <br /> 42nd Street in the City's later System. <br /> That amount of money required to meet said emergency is in the esti- <br /> mated sum of ''.500.00, and said amount is hereby appropriated to cover said <br /> emergency, which is one other than those specifically declared in Section <br /> 6, Chapter 158, Laws of 1923. <br /> Section 2 . That said emergency expenditures shall be paid for by <br /> the issuance of emergency warrants drawn upon the Water System Funds, trans- <br /> ferring to the Maintenance and Operation Fund of the :Water Department by <br /> the proper officials of the city of . verett as provided by law. <br /> Section 3 .
