r z <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2636 <br /> An Ordinance providing for an emergency expenditure for the employment <br /> of a Bridge Engineer to design plans for the Norton Avenue Overhead Bridge <br /> at 22nd Street, in the city of Everett , and providing for the issuance of <br /> emergency warrants therefor in payment of such service and said plans out <br /> of the Secondary Highway fund and declaring an emergency. <br /> T}i ^I iY OF EV. RETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. That a public emergency exists and that the amount of the <br /> expenditure therefor could not reasonably be foreseen at the time of making <br /> the budget for the year 1935 (to-wit , in October, 1934) ; that said emergency <br /> has been caused by the immediate necessity of employing a Bridge Engineer <br /> to design plans for the Norton Avenue Overhead Bridge at 22nd Street in the <br /> city of Everett . <br /> That the amount of money required to meet such emergency is in the es- <br /> timated sum of Three Hundred Sixty ( 360.00) Dollars and said amount is here- <br /> by appropriated , to cover said emergency . <br /> Section 2. That there is hereby appropriated out of the Secondary High- <br /> way fund of Everett not otherwise budgeted the suns of Three Hundred Sixty <br /> ( 360.00) Dollars, to pay said emergency expenditures, which said warrant <br /> or warrants shall be paid by the issuance of emergency warrants on said Sec- <br /> ondary Highway fund , by the proper officers of Everett , as is provided by <br /> law. <br /> Section 3. That it appearing that this ordinance and said appropria- <br /> tion are necessary for the preservation of the peace and good order within. <br /> the city of Everett, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, bringing it <br /> within section 6 of chapter 158 of the laws of Washington, 1923, and this <br /> ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and publication. <br /> Hayor <br /> Attest: �'��01.--6 � <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed : January 16th, 1935. <br /> Published : January 13th, 1935. <br />
