<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2631
<br /> An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2513, entitled as follows, to-
<br /> wit:
<br /> "An Ordinance relating to, and providing for, the li-
<br /> censing and regulating of certain occupations, busi-
<br /> nesses, vocations, trades, callings, amusements, places
<br /> and establishments, places of amusement, exhibitions,
<br /> entertainments, animals, motor vehicles, defining of-
<br /> fenses, providing penalties; providing for the revo-
<br /> cation and suspension of licenses; repealing Ordinances
<br /> Nos. 2196, 853, 1301, 1503, 1583, 1585, 1595, 1598,
<br /> 1771, 1851, 1932, 1941, 1948, 1964, 2087, 2182, 2249,
<br /> 2333, 2370, and 2038, and all other ordinances or parts
<br /> of ordinances in conflict herewith"
<br /> by amending Section 92 of said Ordinance No. 2513 relating to the compen-
<br /> sation which the Poundruaster is to receive in the performance of his du-,
<br /> ties, repealing Ordinance No. 2622 and all other ordinances or parts of
<br /> ordinances in conflict herewith, and declaring an emergency:
<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section 1. That Section 92 of Ordinance No. 2513 be amended so as to
<br /> read as follows, to-wit:
<br /> Section 92. Said Poundmaster shall receive in full compensation for
<br /> his services, the following fees, to-wit: $.50 for each dog license sold,
<br /> $1.50 for each cow or horse impounded; $.75 fur each dog killed; $.25 for
<br /> each cat killed. Said compensation for each month shall be paid on regular
<br /> vouchers in the same manner as other bills against said city are paid; pro-
<br /> vided, that the total compensation said Poundiaster shall receive shall not
<br /> exceed the sum of One Thousand ($1000.00) Dollars in any one (1) year.
<br /> Section 2. That Ordinance No. 2622 and ail other ordinances or parts
<br /> of ordinances in conflict terewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
<br /> Section 3. An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
<br /> shall take effect immediately upon its passage and publication.
