ea ♦ x ORDlN ^NCE NO 2625 An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of Everett, for the fis- cal year commencing January 1st, 1935 , on all taxable property, both real and personal , in said City, subject to taxation thereon for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different departments of said City for the en- suing year, as required by the Charter of said City and the laws of the state of Washington, prescribing and apportioning the same into the different funds of said City for said fiscal year, providing for the collection thereof and repeal- ing all ordinances in conflict therewith. IFEROAS, on the 1st day of October, 1934, the City Council of the City of Everett did duly and regularly adopt the estimate of the amounts required to meet the public expenses of said City for the ensuing year and the amounts to be rais- ed by taxation in said City for the said ensuing year from sources other than by direct taxation, and, WHEREAS , notice that said City Council tentatively completed the Budget of the City of Everett for the year 1935 and that a copy of said Budget would be furnished any taxpayer of the City of Everett upon application therefor and that the City Council would meet in the Council Room of the City Hall at 10:30 o'clock A.L. on October 1st , 1934, for the purpose of fixing the final Budget and desig- nating the tax levies and that any taxpayer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said Budget, Was published in the official newspaper of said City in all respects as required by law, and , WHEREAS , the City Council did on October lst, 1934, meet in the Council Chamber for the purpose aforesaid, and having heard all persons appearing in fa- vor of or against said proposed tax levy, did then and there make , determine and decide the amount of taxes to be placed upon the current assessment roll to be in the sum of -466,407.34, apportioned as hereinafter described, now, therefore , THE CIT"Y OF EVERETT DC' S ORDAIN: Section 1. That there be and hereby is levied upon the real and personal property in the City of Everett, subject to taxation herein, a general property tax for municipal purposes for the ensuing year, commencing January 1, 1935, in the sum of 466,407 .34. Section 2. Said taxes shall be apportioned to the various funds of said City for the year as follows: General Current Expense Fund, ; .78,077 .60 Library Fund , 17 ,500.00 Park Fund, . . 14,064.00 -1-
