Your no -fee registration is valid January 1 through
December 31, and a renewal notice will be sent to you in December.
You were issued a no -fee registration based on the estimate of your Everett revenues being under $2,000. If your
revenues exceed $2,000 in Everett, you must contact our office to pay the current license fee.
Tax forms will be mailed at the end of each year. Annual tax returns are due on April 15 of the following year; unless that
day falls on a weekend or state holiday, then the due date falls on the following weekday. You are required to file a tax
return even if no taxes are owed. You may file all B&O tax returns on File Local. If you need assistance with File Local,
their help desk can be reached at 1-877-693-4435.
If you conducted business in Everett for any prior year(s), you must pay past due business license fees as well as file
business & occupation (B&O) tax returns for all previous tax periods. Penalties for past due business license fees may
waived if the balance is paid in full within 30 days of the date of this letter. Please contact us to obtain your account
balance.
If you are not located in the city limits of Everett, and you qualified for a no -fee business registration, each year you will
be invoiced for the full business license renewal fee. If you continue to meet the threshold for a no -fee business
registration per Everett Municipal Code, you may re -register at everettwa.gov/businesslicense, and we will adjust your
account balance.
If you would like the city to discuss your account with anyone not listed as a business owner, a tax authorization
form is required.
