jail for not more than sixty (60) days , with or without hard labor, or both; and <br /> for a second subsequent offense to a penalty of Three Hundred Dollars MOO) and <br /> to imprisonment in the city jail for not more than ninety (90) days , with or with- <br /> out hard labor, or both. <br /> Section 19. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof <br /> to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of this ordinance <br /> and the application of such provisions to any person or circumstances shall not <br /> be affected thereby. <br /> Section 20 . Ordinances Nos. 2583, 2591 and 2593 , and all other ordinances <br /> or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, be and the same are hereby repealed . <br /> Section 21. This Ordinance shall be deemed as an exercise of the police pow- <br /> er of the State of Washington and of the City of Everett for the regulation and <br /> preservation of public morality, health, peace and good order within the limits <br /> of the said city, and all of its provisions shall be liberally construed for the <br /> accomplishment of such purpose. <br /> Section 22.
