... - • . . ti ORDINANCE NO. 2598 An Ordinance providing for an. emergency expenditure out of the Li- brary Fund of the City of Everett , the issuance of an emergency warrant therefor and declaring an emergency. ': HREAS , Sec . 2, subd. (b) of Ordinance No. 2292 provides that 'all funds received by the library board from other sources than taxation shall be deposited with the City Treasurer to the credit of the library fund" and the said library board will receive from time to time various sums of money from the sale of the tract of land and the building there- on, located at the corner of Oakes and :Mall streets, in the city of Ev- erett, known as the Everett Public Library; Now, Therefore , THE CITY OF EVRETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That a public emergency exists rhich could not reason- ably have been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1934, to-wit; in October, 1933; that said emergency has been caused in the Library Fund, in the subdivision thereof known as the miscellaneous fund of that department , by reason of the fact that in the sale of the aforesaid tract of land it became necessary to furnish an Abstract of Title of said tract of land to the purchaser and that the amount of mo- ney required to meet such emergency is in the estimated sum of '49.25 . Section 2: That said emergency expenditure shall be paid for by the issuance of an emergency warrant drawn upon the subdivision, miscel- laneous fund of the Library Fund of the City of :]verett by the proper officials thereof in the manner provided by law. Section 3: An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Or- dinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and publication. I ay or Attest : e-7 City Clerk Passed: k61s.
