<br /> An Ordinance amending Ordinance No . 2513 as amended by Ordinance No . 2526,
<br /> known as the License Code , entitled as follows, to-wit:
<br /> "An Ordinance relating to, and providing for, the licensing and regulat-
<br /> ing of certain occupations , businesses, vocations , trades , callings, am-
<br /> usements , places of amusements , exhibitions , entertainments, animals, mo-
<br /> tor vehicles , places and establishments; defining offenses , providing
<br /> penalties ; providing for the revocation and suspension of licenses ; re-
<br /> pealing Ordinances No . 2196 , 853 , 1301 , 1503, 1583, 1585, 1595, 1598,
<br /> 1771, 1851 , 1932, 1941, 1948, 1964, 2087, 2182, 2249, 2333, 2370 and 2038,
<br /> and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith"
<br /> • by amending Section 38 thereof:

<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section. 1: That Section 38 of Ordinance No. 2513 as amended by Ordinance No.
<br /> 2526 be amended to read as follows:
<br /> Section 38: No person, corporation, firm or association of persons shall place
<br /> or caused to be placed, any stone , brick , timber, lumber, planks , boards, cement,
<br /> lime, sand , gravel or other material or materials for building purposes of any kind
<br /> or nature whatsoever , in or upon any street, avenue, alley or other public ground in
<br /> the city of Everett; no person , corporation, firm or association of persons shall use
<br /> any street , alley, avenue or other public ground in the city of Everett for the remo-
<br /> val of any building without first having obtained a written permit and license there-
<br /> for from the City Council of the City of Everett , and without executing a good and
<br /> sufficient bond to be furnished by any surety company authorized to transact the bu-
<br /> siness of a surety within the State of Washington, which bond shall be approved by
<br /> the City Council, and in the case of placing or causing to be placed the above enum-
<br /> erated building materials in any street, avenue , alley or other public ground in the
<br /> city of Everett shall be in the penal sum of one thousand dollars ( 1000) and in case
<br /> the applicant desires to use any street, avenue , alley or other public ground for
<br /> the removal of any building such bond shall be in the penal sum of ten thousand dol-
<br /> lars (010,000), and in either event shall be conditioned that said applicant for said
<br />•
<br /> permit and license will well and truly comply with all the restrictions, conditions
<br /> and limitations of said permit and license and will comply with all the provisions
<br /> of the charter and ordinances of the City of Everett, both of those then in force
<br /> and those which may thereafter be enacted , relating to the use of such places for
<br /> building purposes and for the removal of buildings end further conditioned to save
