Please review and respond to the comments below. <br />1. Provide details and section drawings for construction of the guard on the deck, and the attachment <br />of the guard to the deck structure. Specify height of guard and placement of intermediate balusters <br />2. Provide stair details and/or section. Show all components and all mechanical connections for the <br />guard to the stairs, and the stringer to the deck joists and/or beam supporting the deck joists. <br />3. Provide minimum 36 inch landing , measured in the direction of travel, at least as wide as the stairs, <br />at the top and bottom of all stairs. <br />4. Specify the width of the stairs on the framing plans. <br />5. Provide handrail per section R311.7.8 IRC. show location height and attachment to guard. <br />6. Specify maximum 1-1/2" step-down from the top of the threshold at landing outside the new French <br />doors. <br />7. Specify tempered safety glass in doors and/or in hazardous locations as defined in section R308 IRC. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the Building Division <br />with two new sets of revised construction documents reflecting the corrections requested. Please include a <br />response letter which indicates how the corrections were resolved. <br />All codes cited refer to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), <br />and/or the 2015 Washington State Residential Energy Code (WSEC), as amended by the State of Washington <br />and adopted by the City of Everett. <br />These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br />departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
