<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION establishing Human Needs Priorities for 2024 Grant Funding <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />1. Everett City Council has annually dedicated $4 per capita for Human Needs Grant <br />funding for competitive awards addressing annual priority needs; and, <br /> <br />2. The mission of the Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee is to review <br />the human needs in the City of Everett, to prioritize those needs, and recommend <br />allocating funds to most benefit those needs; and, <br /> <br />3. Community needs were previously identified by the public in several community <br />engagement activities related to the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan Update and Human <br />Needs; and, <br /> <br />4. Mayoral Directives have been identified as priorities for the 2024 Program Year to <br />address Everett’s most emergent needs; and, <br /> <br />5. The Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee met on August 8, 2023 to <br />review and recommend priorities for 2024; and, <br /> <br />6. The Committee recognizes the growing needs to support Everett’s community related to <br />these priorities; and, <br /> <br />7. The Community Development Citizen Advisory Committee recommends priorities based <br />on identified needs and/or services supporting: <br /> <br />a. Housing <br />b. Homelessness <br />c. Violence Prevention and Reduction <br />d. Behavioral Health <br />e. Prosperous City <br />8. Funded programs should address outcome criteria that: <br />1. Increase self-sufficiency;
