The exact amount depends on the severity of the emergency event. <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />This agreement provides assistance to Public Works and is only activated in the event of <br />an emergency proclamation by the local, county, tribal or state government approving <br />authority. <br />In 1997, the City of Everett entered into an Agreement with approximately two-thirds of <br />all cities in WA State permitting signatory agencies to efficiently use their assets through <br />coordinating resources and maximizing funding reimbursement during <br />disasters/emergencies. <br />WSDOT Emergency Management has revised the 1997 Mutual Aid Agreement <br />separating the Emergency Proclamation Mutual Aid from the Local Agency Mutual Aid. <br />The GCB 3187 (Emergency Proclamation) Public Works Emergency Response Assistance <br />Mutual Aid Agreement between local, county, tribal and state that provides immediate <br />assistance to protect life and property. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize mayor to sign the Agreement concerning the GCB 3187 (Emergency <br />Proclamation) Public Works Emergency Response Assistance Mutual Aid Agreement <br />with Washington State Dept. of Transportation for Mutual Aid. <br /> <br />
