August 30, 2023 <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m., August 30, 2023, <br />by President Stonecipher. <br /> <br />Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Franklin, and Council Members Rhyne, Schwab, Fosse, <br />Zarlingo, Tuohy, and President Stonecipher were present. Council Member Vogeli was excused. <br /> <br />Council Member Schwab led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Council Member Zarlingo read the land acknowledgement. <br /> <br />The minutes of the August 23, 2023, City Council meeting were approved. <br /> <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br />Mayor Franklin read a proclamation declaring August 31, 2023, as Overdose Awareness Day. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> <br />Council received no written comments and the following members of the public spoke: Elizabeth <br />Bartleson and Emily Simpson <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL <br /> <br />Comments and liaison reports were provided by council members. <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION UPDATE <br /> <br />Government Affairs Director Jennifer Gregerson had no update. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br /> <br />City Attorney David Hall provided an update on the Waits Motel condemnation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
