(1067 mm) less <br />the depth of the protective surfacing material. Post is <br />designed to have a minimum of 24" 1610 mm) in concrete <br />and below ground level. <br />S. Component footing depth equals 30 in. (762 mm) less the <br />depth of the protective surfacing material. Post is <br />designed to have a minimum of 12" (305 mm) in concrete <br />and below ground level. <br />C. Support posts and component support legs will have <br />either a factory -applied sticker with line, or factory -applied <br />mark designating protective surfacing level on a clear and <br />level installation site. <br />D. If play sbuclure is installed on uneven terrain, maintain <br />support post mark at protective surfacing level at lowest <br />grade. Adjust other footings accordingly. Support posts <br />and all attaching decks and play components must be <br />plumb and level. <br />E. Do not encase bottom of support post in concrete. Place <br />post directly on packed stone. <br />F. Footing requirements to follow Manufacturer's <br />specificatoins. Minimum footing excavation shall be to firm <br />and unyielding native soil and to below frost line. Footing <br />shall set on a minimum of 6" crushed stone base. Footing <br />shall comply with IBC Section 1807.3.2.1 <br />G. Assemble the entire structure before pouring concrete <br />unless specifically instructed to do so In the Individual <br />component installation instructions. <br />H. Comparison of protective surfacing materials is available <br />in Handbook for Public Playground Safety published by U. <br />S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. <br />I. Protective surfacing material chosen has a critical height <br />value to meet the maximum fall height for the equipment <br />(ref.
