From: Donald Cunningham
Sent: Thursday, September 30, 2021 1:59 PM
To: Leslie Davis
Cc: Lyndsay Lamb; Cindy Bergsma
Subject: RE: [EXTERNAL] Work done on McDougall Ave
Morning Leslie,
Yes. Doing well, thank you. I have copied Permit Tech Cindy Bergsma as she will be issuing additional
permit for your project as applications come in. Unfortunately, as your Building Permit (B2107-060)
indicates all unpermitted alterations need to be exposed for direct inspection.
Please do the following:
1. Now that your plans have been reviewed and the Building Permit has been issued —apply for
and gain sub -permits needed -such as Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanic.
2. Expose all unpermitted new and/or altered work for visual inspection prior to requesting City
inspections. This means removing all drywall/gypsum (no exceptions) that is covering any new
or altered framing, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or gas systems prior to inspection.
3. After the work is exposed, contact Cindy B. to schedule a Site Readiness Check. Inspectors will
verify site conditions match the approved plans and verify that all the unpermitted work has be
exposed for visual inspection.
4. Once the Site Readiness Check is completed, have any necessary work or corrections within the
structure completed and request inspections for each permit. As inspections occur— inspectors
may indicate additional corrections are required and with follow-up inspections. Continue
complying with their direction until all work is approved and each permit gains Final Approval
and is closed.
It has been some time since we talked — but as I said before, Building Official Tony Lee, is willing to sit
down in person (or virtual) and discuss ideas about how you can accomplish your goal of improving and
selling altered homes —within the permit process in an effectively and efficiently manner.
Talk soon, Don
— Don Cunningham
Code Enforcement Officer I Permit Services
425.257.8564 1 3200 Cedar Street, 2"d Floor, Everett, WA 98201
EVERETT everettwa.gov/permits I Facebook I Twitter
Note: Emails and attachments sent to and from the City of Everett are public records and maybe subject to
disclosure pursuant to the Public Records Act.
From: Leslie Davis <leslie@lambandcompanv.com>
Sent: Thursday, September 30, 2021 6:17 AM
To: Donald Cunningham <DCunningham@everettwa.gov>
Cc: Lyndsay Lamb <Iyndsay.lamb@gmail.com>
Subject: [EXTERNAL] Work done on McDougall Ave
