This amendment seeks to provide $11,329,235.00 in additional funds for a revised total compensation amount not to exceed $15,736,387.00. Project funding is provided by Fund 336 – Water & Sewer System Improvements Fund Project summary statement: Public Works seeks to amend a Professional Services Agreement with Brown and Caldwell, Inc. for the Port Gardner Storage Facility project. The original PSA was signed 2/2/2022 and included initial engineering services and preliminary design for the project. Amendment No. 1 will revise the agreement scope to include full project design services and consultant services during construction. The amendment will also extend the agreement completion date and provide additional funds ($11,329,235.00) to support the additional tasks. Once constructed, the Port Gardner Storage Facility will provide temporary detention of urban stormwater and combined sewer flows bringing the City’s existing Puget Sound Outfalls number 4 through 7 into regulatory compliance. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Brown and Caldwell, Inc., to provide additional engineering consulting services for the Port Gardner Storage Facility project for a revised total compensation amount not to exceed $15,736,387.00.
