'*441W44 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2301-98 <br /> AN ORDINANCE extending the interim traffic mitigation policy by amending <br /> Ordinance No. 1670-89, 1754-90, 1833-91, 1910-92, 1967-93,2112-95, <br /> 2193-96 and 2220-97. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that on December 27, 1989, the City Council passed <br /> Ordinance No. 1670-89 establishing an interim traffic mitigation policy for the City of Everett; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Ordinance No. 1670-89 has been amended to extend the <br /> interim traffic mitigation policy until July 1, 1998; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the City continues working towards the development of <br /> a permanent traffic mitigation ordinance, and some additional work needs to be completed to <br /> bring the ordinance forward for Council's consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the interim traffic mitigation policy should be extended <br /> to provide for this additional time; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1: Section 18 of Ordinance No. 1670-89 as amended by Ordinance No. 1754-90, <br /> 1833-91, 1910-92, 1967-93, 2112-95, 2193-96 and 2220-97 reads as follows: <br /> The Council finds that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br /> public peace, health, safety and the public welfare. This ordinance shall remain in <br /> effect until July 1, 1998. <br /> Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> The Council finds that this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br /> public peace, health, safety and the public welfare.
