ORDINANCE NO. 3968-23 <br />An Ordinance creating a special improvement project entitled Phil Johnson Ballfields Playground <br />Renovation, Fund 354, Program 089, to accumulate all costs for the project. <br />WHEREAS, <br />A.The City Council recognizes the need to maintain and improve City playground amenities. <br />B.The City Council recognizes the value and need to provide Everett residents and visitors <br />opportunities for active recreation and children’s play area. <br />C.The City recognizes that the age of the playground equipment at the Phil Johnson Ballfields has <br />exceeded the City’s life-cycle standard and that the playground equipment and playground <br />surfacing should be removed and replaced. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br />Section 1. A special improvement project fund is hereby entitled Phil Johnson Ballfields Playground <br />Renovation, Fund 354, Program 089. <br />Section 2. Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Facilities Department Director under <br />the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all <br />necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. The estimated cost for the renovation of the playground is $385,000. <br />Section 4. The sum of $385,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 089, Phil Johnson <br />Ballfields Playground Renovation. <br />A.Use of Funds <br />Playground Renovation $385,000 <br />Total $385,000 <br />B.Source of Funds <br />CIP 3 $385,000 <br />Total $385,000
