ORDINANCE NO. 258L.
<br /> An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2513 as amended by Ordinance No.
<br /> 2526, known as the "License Code" entitled as follows , to-wit:
<br /> "An Ordinance relating to , and providing for, the licensing and
<br /> regulating of certain occupations, businesses, vocations, trades,
<br /> callings , amusements, places of amusements, exhibitions , enter-
<br /> tainments, animals, motor vehicles, places and establishments;
<br /> defining offenses, providing penalties; providing for the revo-
<br /> cation and suspension of licenses ; repealing Ordinances No . 2196,
<br /> 853, 1301, 1503, 1583 , 1585 , 1595, 1598, 1771 , 1851, 1932, 1941 ,
<br /> 1948, 1964, 2087, 2182, 2249, 2333, 2370 and 2038, and all other
<br /> ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith"
<br /> by adding thereto a new section designated as Section 49A, and providing
<br /> penalties : j
<br /> THE CITY OF EVRETT DOES ORDAIN
<br /> Section 1: That Ordinance No . 2513 as amended by Ordinance No . 2526
<br /> of the City of Everett be , and the same is hereby amended by adding there-
<br /> to a new section to be known as Section 491 , and reading as follows:
<br /> Section 49A: Any person, firm or- corporation operating motor trucks
<br /> or motor trailers , whose use of the streets is confined to going directly
<br /> to their destination. w'_ , completely unloading
<br /> in one stop,' and --,ho do not use any truck or trailer
<br /> for r9.1Lr purposes originating within the city limits of the. City of Ev-
<br /> erett,. shall be exempt from payment of any license fee whatsoever to the
<br /> City of Everett, for such use of any motor truck or trailer. Any person
<br /> operating any motor truck or trailer under this section shall not use said
<br /> motor truck or trailer for dray or hauling purposes originating within the
<br /> limits of the City of Everett , nor for delivery of fuel, and proof that they
<br /> are so being used shall be deemed prima facie evidence of a violation of
<br /> this. ordinance .
<br /> Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
<br /> be and the same hereby are repealed.
