Y <br /> s • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2585 . <br /> An Ordinance providing for the registration of voters during the <br /> hours when the office of the City Clerk is open for business, fixing <br /> the place for the registration of voters of the various precincts of <br /> the city of Everett, under the permanent registration law, repealing <br /> all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict therewith, and de- <br /> claring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1. That pursuant to chapter 1, Laws of Washington, 1933, <br /> providing for the permanent registration of voters residing in all the <br /> precincts of the city of Everett, in order to be qualified to vote at <br /> any election held after January 1 , 1934, the office of the City Clerk <br /> at the City Hall. will be open at all times during business hours for <br /> the permanent registration of legal voters on and after September 1 , <br /> 1933 , and it shall be the duty of the City Clerk to cause to be pub- <br /> lished in the official newspaper of said City a notice that the regis- <br /> tration files will be open for such registration of voters during the <br /> times designated in this ordinance , at his office in the City Hall. <br /> Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict <br /> herewith are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 3. It appearing that this Ordinance is necessary for <br /> the preservation of the peace and safety of the City of Everett, an <br /> emergency exists , and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately up- <br /> on its passage and publication. <br /> Mayor <br /> Attest: <br /> City Clerk <br /> Passed: August 16th , 1933 <br /> Published: Augustl7, 1933 <br />
