From: Thad Newport Sent: Friday, February 10, 2023 1:16 PM To: jasonb@mlarch.com Cc: Abiy Tsegaye Subject: RE: City of Everett Permit Services: 2815 Baker Avenue (132212-020) - First Building Review Jason, I've talked this project over with the Planning and Building Departments.The building permit for the material hoist and doorway revision does not trigger the need to revise the parking adjacent to the building which would make the parking revision voluntary on your part.The parking revision as proposed does not appear to be feasible based on the plans provided or observed field conditions to create an accessible space that meets both the access width requirements in the IBC, Pedestrian Right- of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG), and City of Everett parking stall dimensions standards. The options I see are to 1) Remove the parking revisions all together and leave the parking situation as is, 2) Swap the accessible parking space and accessible aisle location so the aisle is adjacent to the current ramp to the building. 3) Move the accessible space to the other side of the parking area where the occupant could exit the vehicle and then use the sidewalk of Baker AVE up to the loading zone and then access the existing ramp. Please Let me know if you have any questions, but you can proceed with the revisions Drew has already sent along with the feedback from above to resubmit the plans. Notably,the new accessible space may not have the minimum required clearance to the sidewalk. While the space is called existing on the drawings, review of street-level imagery indicates that an accessible space is currently not provided at this location. Do not resubmit the drawings until our PW reviewers have confirmed if additional action is required. Lastly,the accessible path between the space and the building should include a minimum
