Please find the below Building Correction letter. Revised construction-level documents should be submitted for review. Two complete sets of the revised drawings should be submitted to replace the previously submitted drawing sets. The resubmittal documents should include an itemized response letter clarifying how the review comments below have been addressed: Architectural: 1. The project appears to include new stairs. Details for the construction should be included. The stringers should comply with the joist span tables considering the net depth after notching for steps. The stair rise and run, and width, should be specified. See IRC Section R311.7. Structural: 2. Specifically to the deck itself, Page 2 states "attachment details by others" and structural sheet S1.1 states "deck by others" however it appears that deck framing plan is missing. Please provide. Framing plans and details for the deck construction should be included in the drawings. The drawings should include sections and details for stairs and guards (guards if applicable) See IRC Section R312.1.1 and R507. 3. The deck should be provided with vertical and lateral connections to the existing building per IRC Section R507.9. Details should be included in the drawings. 4. The drawings should include a note requiring cuts, notches, and holes in preservative-treated wood to be coated with a treatment complying with AWPA M4. See IRC Section R317.1.1. 5. A fastener schedule should be provided per IRC Table R602.3(1). Providing a reference to this table in the drawings does not satisfy this requirement. In addition,the make and model of proprietary hardware should be specified in the plans and details where used for connections. Review of your project will be performed in the order received once the required documentation has been submitted. Please let me know if you have questions.
