The match amount is $150,000 for a project total of $300,000. <br />Source of funds is Everett Transit (425). No budget amendment is required. <br />Project summary statement: <br />Everett Transit is committed to providing the public and its bus drivers with the highest level of <br />safety possible. Everett Transit is seeking funding from the 2023 WSTIP Technology grant <br />program to outfit its fleet with collision avoidance technology. Collision avoidance technology will <br />be able to provide drivers with an audio-visual alert when a hazard is present. This technology <br />will help Everett Transit meet and exceed the safety targets as established in Everett Transit’s <br />Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize city staff to apply for and the Mayor to approve and sign all documents relating to the <br />2023 Washington State Transit Insurance Pool technology grant and all agreements and <br />documents relating to acceptance of the grant.
