. _ . CITY STEAM HEATING COMPANY OF EVERETT EVERETT, WASHINGTON December 21, 1931. At present district steam heating service is being furnished, in Everett under at least five dif- ferent rate schedules. This results in discrimination and many inequalities. Effective January 1, 1932 all charges for heating service will be based on the steam consumption under the enclosed rate schedule . This will eliminate existing discrimination and provide uniform charges. These rates are the result of a careful survey and study of the situation by a competent steam heating engineer and, are comparable with the rates pre- vailing in the Pacific Northwest. In some instances material reductions will result. In others there will be increases but invariably it can be shown that improvements in the interior equip- ment of the buildings served will result in better service with a reduction in steam consumed and in the charges. This company will gladly assist you in a study of the individual problems involved in your heating equipment and will , without cost, make recommendations to your plumber or steamfitter as to needed changes. Meters will be installed as rapidly as pos- sible and in the meantime un-metered service charges will be based on the estimated consumption of steam under metered conditions as shown by the individual studies we have already made.
