<br /> An Ordinance amending Section 152 and repealing . . ]
<br /> Section 154 of Ordinance No. 2513, entitled as follows:
<br /> "AN ORDINANCE relating to, and providing for,
<br /> the licensing and regulating of certain occupations,
<br /> businesses, vocations , trades, callings, amusements,
<br /> places of amusement , exhibitions , entertainments,
<br /> animals, motor vehicles, places aria establishments;
<br /> defining offenses, providing penalties; providing
<br /> for the revocation and suspension of licenses; repeal-
<br /> ing Ordinances No. 2096, 853, 1301, 1503, 1583, 1585,
<br /> 1596, 1598, 1771, 1851, 1932, 1941 , 1948, 1964 , 2087 ,
<br /> 2182, 2249 , 2333, 2370 and 2038, all other
<br /> ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
<br /> with. "
<br /> and declaring an emergency.
<br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN:
<br /> Section That Section 152 of Ordinance No. 2513
<br /> of tne City of .hverett be , and the same is hereby amended to
<br /> read as follows:
<br /> Section 152: Any auctioneer selling, attempting to
<br /> sell , or offering for sale any jewelry consisting of watches,
<br /> diamonds, precious stones and all jewelry of gold, silver or
<br /> other metal , or anything commonly known as jewelry; or any
<br /> clothing, boots, shoes, dry goods, furniture , household goods
<br /> of every kind , or any goods, wares or merchandise not other-
<br /> wise mentioned herein, and wnether of tne kind mentioned herein
<br /> or not , at public auction in said City shall pay into the
<br /> City Treasury a license fee at the rate of Fifty Dollars (z50.00)
<br /> per day and procure license therefor upon payment of said licens:,
<br /> fee.
<br /> Section 2: That Section 154 of ordinance No. 20,13
<br /> of the City of ',Everett be , and the same is hereby repealed. •
<br /> Section 3: Due to the fact that the existing , ..
<br /> ordinances of the City of lverett are incomplete and ineffectual
<br /> to protect the buying public from fraud and deceit from sale
<br /> of goods, wares and merchandise in said City at public auction
