} <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2536 <br /> AN ORDINANCE levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for <br /> the fiscal year commencing January 1st, 1932, on all taxable property, <br /> both real and personal in said City, subject to taxation thereon for the <br /> anx x* purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different <br /> departments of said City for the ensuing year as required by the Charter <br /> of said City and the laws of the State of Washington, prescribing and <br /> apportioning the same into the different funds of said. City for said <br /> fiscal year, providing for the collection thereof and repealing all <br /> ordinances in conflict therewith. <br /> WHEREAS, on the 10th day of October 1931, the City Council <br /> of the City of Everett did duly and regularly adopt the estimate of the <br /> amounts required to meet the public expenses of said City for ehe en- <br /> suing year and the amounts to be raised by taxation in said City for the <br /> said ensuing year from sources other than by direct taxation and, <br /> WHEREAS, notice that said City Council tentatively completed the <br /> Budget of the City of Everett for the year 1932 and that a copy of said <br /> Budget would be furnished any tax payer of the City of Everett upon ap- <br /> plication therefor and that the City Council would meet in the Council <br /> Room of the City Hall at 10:30 o' clock a. m. on October 5, 1931, for the <br /> purpose of fixing the final budget and designating the tax levies and <br /> that any tax payer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any <br /> part of said. Budget, was published in the official newspaper of said City <br /> in all respects as required by law, and, <br /> WHEREAS, said City Council did on October 5, 1931, meet in the <br /> Council Chamber for said purpose and did from day to day continue the <br /> hearing on said Budget to October 10, 1931, for the purposes aforesaid <br /> and having heard all persons appearing in favor of or against said pro- <br /> posed tax levy, did then and there make, determine and decide the amount <br /> of taxes to be placed upon the current assessment roll to be in the sum <br /> of 4 460,175.00 apportioned as hereinafter described, <br />
