Y il • r':r ORDINANCE NO. 2531 AN ORDINANCE vacating the following portion of the following described street and alleys in the City of Everett, to-wit : The two alleys running north and south, and Chestnut Street , between the south line of 23rd Street and the north line of 24th Street, all included in the following description; "Be- ginning at the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter 'of the northeast quarter of Section 20, Township 29, North, Range 5, East; thence North 541.8 ft. ; thence West to East line of Walnut Street; thence South 541.8 ft. ; thence East to point of beginning." WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds of the private prop- erty abutting upon the portion of street and alleys herein sought to be vacated, duly filed petition with the City Council of the City of Everett, praying for the vacation of said portion of street and alleys, and, WHEREAS, the City Council of said city, by Resolution, duly adopted, fixed the 30th day of July, 1931, at the hour of 10:30 o' clock a. m. of said day for the hearing and determination of said petition, and, WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of the hearing and determination of said petition has been duly given by the City Clerk of said city, as required by law, and, WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said hearing no person appeared or objected and no objections of any kind were made to the granting of said petition, and, WHEREAS, it appearing to the City Council that said petition should be granted, the said City Council does hereby determine to vacate said portion of street and alleys, now, therefore, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN; That all of that part of the following described portion of street and alleys, too-wit: The two alleys running north and south, and Chestnut Street, between the south line of 23rd Street and the north line of 24th Street, all included in the following description; "Be- ginning at the southeast corner of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 20, Township 29, North, Range 5 East; thence North 541.8 ft. ; thence west to east line of Walnut Street; thence south 541.8 ft. ; thence East to point of beginning."
