. 4 a • <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2525 <br /> An Ordinance relating to the discharging, exploding, use, <br /> purchase and sale of firecrackers and other powder explosives, <br /> providing a penalty for the violating thereof and repealing <br /> Ordinance No. 2163. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: It shall be unlawful for any person to fire, <br /> discharge, explode, use, purchase, sell or offer for sale any <br /> squib, firecracker, torpedo, dynamite cane or other fireworks <br /> or powder explosive which contain black powder or chlorate of <br /> potash, within the limits of the City of Everett, provided <br /> however, that the above shall not apply to the manufacture <br /> or keeping of the same by manufacturers, jobbers or wholesalers <br /> for the use or sale outside the limits of the City of Everett, <br /> under regulations prescribed by the Fire Chief and the Com- <br /> missioner of Safety, and provided further, that there may be <br /> displays of fireworks and that fireworks may be sold or pur- <br /> chased for such display for public purposes or public occasions <br /> under the joint supervision or control of the Fire Chief and <br /> the Commissioner of Safety. <br /> Section 2: It shall be lawful to sell the following <br /> it ems, viz: Flashcrackers or Flashlight Firecrackers not ex- <br /> ceeding two ikohes in length which contain aluminum powder, <br /> but do not contain chlorate of potash, also those certain <br /> • <br /> fireworks known as sparklers, flower pots, squibs and pin <br /> wheels. It shall also be lawful to sell cap pittols and cap <br /> guns, providing no toy guns shall be sold for use with blank <br /> cartridges. <br /> Section 3: It shall be unlawful to fire any fireworks <br /> without a written permit by the Commissioner of Public Safety, <br /> on Hewitt Avenue or in that certain district one block north <br />
