There will be a small fee estimated at less than $5,000 for third party billing administration. Project summary statement: The Vera Clinic will provide primary and preventive care, including generic prescriptions, for retired employees and retired employees' spouses/domestic partners beginning January 1, 2024. The purpose of adding retirees as a covered group is to recruit and retain employees, offering a bridge for employees between retirement age and Medicare. Retirees will be defined as the minimum retirement age of 53 and having at least five years of service under Department of Retirement Systems rules with the City of Everett. Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Amendment for the Vera Clinic to offer continued services to retired employees and their spouses/domestic partners effective January 1, 2024.
