The remaining balance $758 will be transferred to CIP-3. <br />Project summary statement: <br />This closing Ordinance closes the funding Ordinance for the Forterra restoration plan and the <br />Green Everett Program that was implemented for 2022. <br />The parks improvement project entitled "Forterra Restoration Plan", Fund 354, Program 074, was <br />established for the continued implementation of a restoration plan for several publicly owned <br />urban forested areas within the City of Everett. <br />The intended outcome was to help preserve publicly owned urban forests in terms of health, <br />functionality, the public benefits urban forests provide, and long-term ecological sustainability. <br />The City and Forterra focused on forest restoration activity in Thornton A. Sullivan Park, Howarth <br />Park, Hannabrook Park, South Everett Forest Preserve, Rotary Park, Forest Park, and Johnston - <br />Kelly Park. The work also included Green Everett Day in Forest Park. <br />All work was accomplished to the satisfaction of the Parks and Facilities Department. <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Adopt an Ordinance closing a Special Improvement Project entitled "Forterra Restoration Plan", <br />Fund 354, Program 074, as established by Ordinance No. 3842-21. <br />
