The site chosen for the playground is owned in
common by the Port of Everett, Snohomish County and City of Everett. This interlocal agreement
would authorize the Port of Everett, acting as the lead agency in this project, to design, construct
and maintain playground facilities at the specified site. The project would improve the Jetty
Island Landing facilities and provide a great added amenity to the constituents and visitors to the
island.
There is no cost to the City for this project and the agreement stipulates that the Port of Everett
would be the lead agency and responsible for all facilities maintenance and capital needs at the
site both during and after completion of the project.
Recommendation (exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign an Interlocal Agreement with Port of Everett & Snohomish
County to install and maintain a playground at the Jetty Landing Facilities.
