The proposed structure would <br />provide weather protection for an existing alley -access parking space on site. <br />AUTHORITY: Everett Municipal Code (EMC) 19.08.135 grants authority to the Planning Director to grant <br />reasonable accommodation requests under the federal Fair Housing Act (FHA). <br />FINDINGS: The Planning Director has considered the Applicant's request in conjunction with the <br />provisions of EMC 19.08.135.0 and made the following findings: <br />1. Documentation has been provided from a medical professional outlining the Applicant's disability <br />and specific benefit from weather protection. <br />2. The proposed location of the structure would provide weather protection of an existing parking <br />stall. <br />3. The adjacent property to the north has an existing detached accessory building located within the <br />required side setback along the same shared property line. <br />4. Construction of the proposed structure would be subject to all other applicable building and fire <br />code requirements. <br />DECISION: The City of Everett Planning Director grants APPROVAL of a reasonable accommodation <br />request by Robert Gildroy to construct a detached accessory building within the required 5-foot side <br />setback.
