December 14,2020
Limited Geologic Evaluation
6. The proposal mitigates all impacts identified in the geotechnical letter or geotechnical report;
7. All utilities and access roads or driveways to and within the site are located so as to require
the minimum amount of modification to slopes, vegetation or geologically hazardous areas;and
8. The improvements are certified as safe as designed and under anticipated conditions by
a geologist.
The proposed landscaping work is considered`certified'as safe provided the following conditions
are utilized/implemented as part of development:
• Proper erosion control measures until final landscaping is in place
• All stockpile fill is removed or used as compacted structural fill behind new walls near the
east property line
• Permanent slopes have magnitudes of 2.51-1:1V in areas affected by the recent and
proposed grading
• All runoff is controlled on site during construction
Conclusions & Recommendations
It is our opinion that the proposed landscaping work can be completed in a safe manner without
affected geologic hazards on the site or adjacent areas. The site and nearby steep slopes are stable
at this time with no evidence of historic or recent landslide activity or soil erosion. If there are
cleared areas resulting from construction, they should be re-surfaced with landscaping materials
and vegetation upon completion of the project.
The proposed construction should not adversely affect slope stability within the site and adjacent
areas provided the work is performed in accordance with our recommendations, permit
requirements, and adequate erosion control measures are put in place prior to construction. All
temporary and permanent runoff must be controlled and directed away from the steep slope
areas.
Closure
The information presented herein is based upon professional interpretation utilizing standard
practices and a degree of conservatism deemed proper for this project. We emphasize that this
report is valid for this project as outlined above and for the current site conditions and should not
be used for any other site.
www.cobaltgeo.com (2o6)331-1097
