Throughout the plan set multiple references of previous versions of the code should be updated <br />to reference the current code. See Sheet 3, 4, and S-1.0. <br />2. See Sheet 4 and S-1.0. Seismic data on Sheet 4 doesn4 match info on S-1.0. <br />Architectural <br />1. Safety glazing should be specified where required per IRC Section R308.4. Glazing adjacent and <br />within 24 inches of the swinging door should be specified as safety glazing. See entry door to <br />living room. <br />2. Continuing with the previous comment, safety glazing should be specified where glazing is less <br />than 36 Indies above the plane of the adjacent walking surface of stairways and within 36 <br />inches measured horizontally of Stairways. R308.4.6 <br />3. A note should be added specifying that smoke alarms to be interconnected per section R314.4 <br />4. A note should be added specifying that carbon monoxide alarms to be interconnected per <br />section R315.5 <br />5. See Sheet 1. Plans should specify 6x6 pressure treated posts for the exterior posts that are <br />embedded into the deep footing per 4/S5. R317.1.2 <br />6. Crawl spaces under buildings should be provided with ventilation per IRC Section R408.1. <br />7. The addition should be designed to comply with the additional energy efficiency requirements <br />Section R406 of the Washington State Energy Code. The architectural drawings should include a <br />schedule listing the selected energy credits for the proposed project. <br />8. Plans should include a demo plan clearly showing existing walls to be removed. It is unclear <br />what framing is being removed to extend the living room. R106.1.1 <br />9. See Sheet 3. A Deck Plan is provided but R is unclear of the location of the deck with respect to <br />the existing house. R306.1.1 <br />10. See Sheet 1. Provide a section cut that starts at the deck and extends to the stair <br />landing/existing wall. The section cut should show all existing and new framing elements which <br />include the roof framing, deck framing, stair framing, stair landing framing, 1st and 2nd floor <br />framing and connections. R106.1.1 <br />11. See Sheet 3. Whole house ventilation tables should be updated to current code requirements. <br />See Section M3505.4.3. <br />12.
