All of these ADA ramps East of Broadway have been submitted to Public Works, and Public Works
has confirmed that they do not have plans to replace the deficient ramps in the near future.

For more data, please see the attached dashboard using 20 years of Public Works data.
Pedestrian Safety is one of the top concerns of Delta Neighborhood residents,
from missing sidewalks to missing or outdated ADA ramps so I obtained records
back to 2003 showing all Public Works service projects and work order costs. I
created a full data report showing work on Sidewalks, Crosswalks and ADA
ramps.
At first glance, the scatter plot map seems to show less service requests in
Delta than most of North Everett but we decided to dig deeper. In raw numbers,
the 4 other North Everett neighborhoods range from 630-1,000 work orders,
while Delta has only 221.
Then we looked at the total cost of work orders compared to neighborhood size
and population to see if that made a difference. In fact, when accounting for
these factors, the disparities grew.
For size, North Everett neighborhoods ranged from $1,400-1,900 per acre, while
Delta has only $542 per acre in work order cost.
For population, North Everett neighborhoods ranged from $224-288 per person,
while Delta was only $57 per person in work order cost.
See map overlays for Diversity, Household Income and Population Density. While
Delta contains some of the most diverse, lower-income, densely populated
census tracts in Snohomish County, the level of services received is
comparatively low using various metrics.

I would like to see an update at the next meeting and for Public Works to use their stated
prioritization protocol to update the ADA ramps which have been requested by multiple residents.
From 16th, Baker, 19th, Walnut which are located in the proximity of Hawthorne Elementary and
Baker Heights senior housing and walking route to North Middle School. In addition, both 19th and
Baker are both multimodal corridors with bike sharrows.

Kindly,
Ryan Weber - Delta Resident
206-953-7515
