Hello, This is a public comment in response to item #3 ADA Transition Plan at the Safe Community Council Committee. I hope that this can be discussed at today's Safety Community Council Committee meeting. It was mentioned that areas are prioritized by residents initiating a service request, and by assessing the needs. The example needs provided at the meeting were being located to areas of elderly and disabled residents and proximity to schools. 95% of ADA ramps have been updated West of Broadway on main pedestrian corridors of Grand Ave, Colby, 16th and 19th. While 95% of ADA ramps East of Broadway have not been updated on main pedestrian corridors of 12th, Baker, 16th and 19th. All of these ADA ramps East of Broadway have been submitted to Public Works, and Public Works has confirmed that they do not have plans to replace the deficient ramps in the near future. For more data, please see the attached dashboard using 20 years of Public Works data. Pedestrian Safety is one of the top concerns of Delta Neighborhood residents, from missing sidewalks to missing or outdated ADA ramps so I obtained records back to 2003 showing all Public Works service projects and work order costs.
