I hope that this can be discussed at today's Safety Community Council <br />Committee meeting. <br /> <br />It was mentioned that areas are prioritized by residents initiating a service request, and by <br />assessing the needs. The example needs provided at the meeting were being located to areas of <br />elderly and disabled residents and proximity to schools. <br /> <br />95% of ADA ramps have been updated West of Broadway on main pedestrian corridors of Grand <br />Ave, Colby, 16th and 19th. <br /> <br />While 95% of ADA ramps East of Broadway have not been updated on main pedestrian corridors <br />of 12th, Baker, 16th and 19th. <br /> <br />All of these ADA ramps East of Broadway have been submitted to Public Works, and Public Works <br />has confirmed that they do not have plans to replace the deficient ramps in the near future. <br /> <br />For more data, please see the attached dashboard using 20 years of Public Works data. <br />Pedestrian Safety is one of the top concerns of Delta Neighborhood residents, <br />from missing sidewalks to missing or outdated ADA ramps so I obtained <br />records back to 2003 showing all Public Works service projects and work <br />order costs.
