<br />In making up the new Salary Ordinance for 1931, which should
<br />be presented at the next Legislative Session of the City Council,
<br />the following Sections of Ordinance No. 2483, should be altered,
<br />and Ordinance No. 2493, should be repealed.
<br />Section 23, Ordinance No. 2483: City Clerk, t200.00 per
<br />month. Deputy City Clerk, .'160.00 per month. Office Clerk and
<br />License Inspector, 1.40. 0 per month. Stenographer and Clerk,
<br />90.00 per month (part me).
<br />Section 5, Ordinance No. 2483: Chief of Police, 200.00 per
<br />month. Chief of Detectives (Captain), $175.00 per month. Chief
<br />of Bureau of Identification, 0.75.00 per month. Three desk
<br />sergeants, $160.00 per month. Three plain clothes men, n160.00
<br />per month. Patrolmen (16) 1st Class, '155.00 per month. Jatrol-
<br />msn (2) 2nd Class, ,145.00 per month. Patrolman (1) 3rd Class,
<br />140.00 per month. Police Woman, $125.00 per month. Jailor.
<br />Cook, Th,140.00 per month. Stenographer (,1- salary) per month,
<br />$55.00. Traveler's Aid, 25.00 per month.

<br />section 7, Ordinance No. 2483: Chief of Fire Department,
<br />Assistant Chief of 'Fire Department, 2nd Assistant Chief of Fire
<br />Department, Secretary, Superintendent of Fire and Police Signal
<br />System, Assistant Superintendent of Vire and Police Signal Sys-
<br />tem, Easter Mechanic, Assistant raster Eechanic, Six Captains,
<br />Twelve Auto Drivers, Three ?ire Alarm Operators, Thirteen 1st
<br />Grade Pipemen, One 2nd Grade Pipeman.
<br />Section 27, Ordinance No. 2483: Amend so as to leave out
<br />"Lieutenant", which is not provided for in this years budget.
<br />Section 9, Ordinance No. 2483; Street Superintendent, Barn
<br />Lan, Tractor Man, Rive Truok Drivers, Five Repair Men, Two Labor-
<br />ers, One Push Up ran, Two Sewer Inspectors, One Street Marker.
