BILL POSTING, SIGN PAINTING AND DISTRIBUTION <br /> OF ADVERTISING MATTER <br /> Sectiv ; Any person who shall maintain, post, affix, paste, <br /> paint , print, write, project or in any other manner put advertising <br /> matter on any bill board, bulletin board, sign board, electric or <br /> illuminated sign, frame work, fence, building, or structure, main- <br /> tained or used for advertising purposes shall be declared to be a <br /> Bill roster, within the meaning of t hA/J ordinance. <br /> Section' "?4/: It shall be unlawful for any person to exercise, <br /> carry on or engage in the occupation of Bill Posting in the City <br /> of Everett without having obtained from the City of Everett a <br /> license so to do to be _crown as a "Bill Posters yieense", provided <br /> thct no license shall be required of any person advertising any <br /> business, trade or occupation carried on or conducted in any building <br /> or structure and which advertising is intended and designated to give <br /> publicity to the business, trade or occupation carried on or conducted <br /> within the building or structure to or from which such advertising <br /> is attached or displayed. <br /> Section „ , Every Bill Poster shall pay an annual license <br /> fee computed as ollows: <br /> Every Bill Poster doing a gross business within the <br /> City of Everett of not more than 42000.00 per year shall pay a license <br /> fee of 410.00. <br /> Every Bill Poster doing a gross business of not less <br /> than 42000.00 nor more than 45000.00 per year shall pay a license fee <br /> of 425.00. <br /> Every Bill Poster doing a gross business of less <br /> than 45000.00 per year shall file with the City Clerk on January 1st <br /> and July 1st of each year, a statement showing the gross amount of bill <br /> posting business done by it in the city of Everett during the preceding <br /> six month' s period. <br /> Every Bill Poster doing a gross business of over <br /> 5000.00 annually shall pay a flat license fee of 4100100 and in addition <br /> thereto shall pay an amount equal to one-half of one (1) per cert of <br /> that part of his gross income derived from his business over 45000.0a, <br /> which percentage of gross income shall be determined quarterly, March <br /> 31st , June 30th, September 30th and December 31st, and shall be payable <br /> within fifteen ( 15 ) days after the termination of each such quarter. <br /> A statement showing such gross income for each three month' s period <br /> shall be filed with the y Clerk of Everett by such Bill Poster <br /> on the dates mentioned. 6_414) <br /> Every Bill Poster shall, however, before he shall <br /> engage in any bill posting in the City of Everett, have paid in to the <br /> City J2rea.sury of said City, a license fee of at least 410.0a and received <br /> a Bill roster' e Lic nse from the City Clerk. <br /> Sectied1 . in addition to the license fee hereinabove provided <br /> for, every Bill Poster shall, before receiving his Bill Poster' s license <br /> execute a bond to the City of Everett in the sum of 42000.00 to be <br /> approved by the Mayor and City Attorney, conditioned that its annual <br /> license fee provided for herein will be paid to the city of Everett.) <br /> the compliance by said applicant with all the ordinances and regulation* <br /> of the city of Everett and the laws of the State of Washington, in regard <br /> to such business and further conditioned that said applicant will in- <br /> demnify and save harmless the city of Everett from any and all claims, <br /> damages, charges, expenses and suits arising from or growing out of the <br />
