• ORDINANCE NO. 2508 An Ordinance levying the general taxes for the City of Everett for the fiscal year commencing January 1, 1931, on all taxable property, both real and personal in s :id city, subject to taxation thereon for the purpose of raising sufficient revenue to carry on the different depart- ments of said city for the ensuing year as required by the charter of srid city and the laws of the State of Washington, prescribing and apportioning the same into the different funds of said city for said fiscal year, providing for the collection thereof and repealing all ordinances in conflict therewith. WHEREAS, on the 20th day of September 1930, the City Council of the city of laverett , did duly and regularly adopt the esti,late of the amounts required to meet thepublic expenses of said city or the ensuing 'year and the amount to be raised by taxation in said city for the said ensuing year from sources other than by direct taxation, and, WHEREAS, notice that said. City Council tentatively completed the budget of the city of Everett for the year 1931, and that a copy of said budget woald be furnished any taxpayer of the city of Everett upon ap- plication therefor and that the City Council would meet in the Council Room of the City Hall at 10: 30 a. m. October 6th, 1930, for the purpose of fixing the final budget and designating the tax levies; and that any taxpayer might appear thereat and be heard for or against any part of said budget, was publtshed in the official newspaper of said city in all respects as required by law, and October 6th, and continued from day WHEREAS, said City Council did onto day, to October 10th, 1950, meet in the City Hall of said City at 10: 30 a. m. for the purpose afore- said and having heard all persons appearing in favor of or against said proposed tax levy, did there and then make, determine and decide the amount of taxes to be placed upon the current assessment rolls to be in the sum of 4 460,950.00 apportioned as hereinafter described, now, therefore, THE CITY OF EILMETT DOES ORDAIN:
