City of Everett 00 1113 - 1 <br />2024 WPCF Biosolids Removal UT 3826-2 <br /> <br /> <br />00 1113 - 1 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />SECTION 00 1113 - ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br /> <br />Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the 2024 WPCF Biosolids Removal will be <br />received at the Purchasing Counter, 3200 Cedar Street, Door #5, Everett, WA, 98201, <br />until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10th, 2023. The Purchasing Counter is open <br />Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 3:00pm. At the appointed time, all bids will be opened <br />and read aloud publicly via webcast only. The link for the webcast is located at <br />https//www.everettwa.gov/319/purchasing. For questions regarding logging into the <br />webcast call (425) 257-8903. The engineer’s estimate for this Project is $1,200,000, not <br />including sales tax. <br /> <br />The City of Everett owns a Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) located near <br />Everett, WA and is seeking a Contractor to dredge and dewater 2,000 dry tons of <br />biosolids from the City’s wastewater lagoon, Aeration Cell #2 at the WPCF. The Water <br />Pollution Control Facility is located at 4027 4th Street Southeast, Everett WA. <br />Contractor is expected to conduct their operations and manage the dewatered biosolids <br />on the City’s Biosolids Pad. Mandatory pre-bid walk-throughs are scheduled at <br />10:30 a.m. on September 21st, 2023, and at 10:30 a.m. on September 26th, 2023. <br />All bidders are required to attend a walk-through one of the two dates provided. <br />Prospective bidders will meet at the WPCF for the walk-through. Any questions and/or <br />answers from these walk throughs that may affect the bid will be included in an <br />addendum to the bid documents and sent to all the plan holders. <br /> <br />Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and <br />Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to <br />www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of <br />Everett". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents <br />with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous <br />reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that <br />Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda <br />and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not <br />register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check <br />the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Contact Builders Exchange of <br />Washington at (425) 258-1303 should you require assistance with access or <br />registration. <br /> <br />All bids must be made upon the City forms provided for this purpose and must be <br />accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or cashier’s check in an amount not less <br />than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid, all in accordance with the Contract <br />Documents. One hundred (100) percent payment and performance Bonds will be <br />required of the successful Bidder to guarantee faithful performance of the contract. <br />The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or <br />informalities. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid after the hour set for the opening thereof.
