The EFD will remain <br />the first responder for all 9-1-1 calls, perform triage and interview all patients, and <br />provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) treatment and transport. In some cases, <br />Northwest Ambulance Critical Care Transport may be dispatched directly to medical <br />facilities where licensed providers have evaluated the patient and deemed them <br />appropriate for basic life support transport. <br />Request for Proposal #2023-059 was released on August 10, 2023, advertised in the <br />Everett Herald, and posted on the City’s website. On October 3, 2023, the City received <br />one proposal response. Northwest Ambulance Critical Care Transport’s response was <br />scored on a variety of considerations, including but limited to company qualifications, <br />capabilities in relation to the response time, minimum units, and mechanisms to meet <br />the demand for emergency ambulance response exceeding peak periods of normal daily <br />peak response or unexpected periods of unusually high call volume as well as employee <br />work schedules, shift assignments, and policies including those related to workload <br />protection. <br />Staff recommends awarding the contract to the current provider and sole responder, <br />Platinum Nine Holdings, LLC DBA: Northwest Ambulance Critical Care Transport.
