ORDINANCE NO. 478 An Ordinance providing for emergency expenditures for repairs to the public scales, and for emergency expenditures in the park department and the street department ,of the City of Everett, providing for the issuance of emergency Warrants there- for, and declaring an emergency, , THE CITY OP .EW'E`J'i DOES OR7)AIN: Section 1, That an emergency exists in the park department of the City of Everett which, could riot reasonably have been fore- seen at the time of making the budget for the year 1929 (to-wit in October, 1928) ; that there is sufficient amount in the park . board budget to pay all amounts that would be a charge against the same, but at the time of making, the budget, too large an amount was put in the maintenance fund, and too small an amount . was put in the wages and salary fund, and for the reason that the money in the maintenance fund cannot be transferred to the salary fund, an emergency has arisen necessitates the issuance of emergency warrants sufficient to pay the wages and salaries in the department for the balance of the fiscal year. What the amount of money required to meet said emergency. is in the estimated sLu i of 4550.00. Section 2. That an emergency exists in the street '`department of the City of Everett which could not reasonably have been fore scan at the ti.;&e of making the budget for the year 1929 (to-wit: in October, 1928 ) ; that said emergency has been caused in the street department by an extraordinary amount of street repairs for the prevention of accidents and personal ' injuries.
