Material: Construction -grade wood fence boards & posts. <br />PERMIT CONDITIONS: <br />1. All inspections shall be scheduled online at https://onlinepermits.everettwa.gov. Available inspection dates are shown in the dropdown <br />menu. <br />2. All work shall be performed in accordance with the permit and current City of Everett 'Design and Construction Standards and Specifications <br />for Development'. <br />3. Call Location Underground Service 48 hours before you dig. The day you call does not count. TOLL FREE NUMBER 811. <br />4. The fence shall be no greater than 3'-6" (42") in height within the front setback or the abutting right-of-way (shortest property frontage, <br />unless otherwise noted or previously determined). Per EMC19.40 "Fences within the front setback or the abutting right-of-way may be up to <br />six feet in height if the fence is at least ten feet back from the sidewalk, is at least seventy percent transparent from three to six feet, and is <br />not chain link or other type of similar material. If no sidewalk exists, the minimum distance required is determined by the city engineer." As <br />discussed with the applicant, the proposed fence will be 5' in height and meet the transparency requirement. <br />5. The fence shall be not greater than 6 feet in height within the street side setback or the abutting right-of-way and no greater than 7 feet in <br />height within the interior side or rear setback. <br />6. Fence height, material, transparency, and location shall comply with all standards set forth in EMC 19.40. <br />7. Protect all existing underground utilities during construction. Fence posts shall be at least 2ft away from any underground utility. Water <br />meters shall remain outside of fenced areas to be kept clear and accessible for maintenance and monthly meter reading. <br />8. Inspections are required for all stages of construction. Visit the City's Online Permitting Portal at onlinepermits.everettwa.gov to formally <br />request all required inspections. A handout is provided at permit issuance with instructions on how to request an inspection online. <br />9. This fence constructed within the public right-of-way must be removed or relocated at the owner's expense if the City ever requires use <br />of the right-of-way for municipal purposes. <br />10. The owner/applicant is responsible for establishing the center of the alley way. <br />11. This permit must be finaled in order to close out this permit. Request a final inspection online by selecting PW 25-Site Final/Permit Close <br />Out within the Online Permitting Portal Inspection Requests for this permit when all items have been completed. <br />Public Works Permit Fee Breakdown: <br />Fence in R.O.W...............$25.00 <br />PW Plan Review.............$20.00 <br />PW Site Inspection .......... $20.00 <br />ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF CONDITIONS <br />By purchasing this permit and commencing work, the owner/applicant hereby agrees to hold and save harmless the City of Everett from any and all <br />claims for damages, costs, expenses, or causes of action that may arise because of installation and maintenance of the improvement or other right- <br />of-way use here to applied for and further agrees to remove same upon notice from the City and to replace public property damaged thereby. <br />VALIDITY/EXPIRATION: <br />Work authorized by this permit must be started within 180 days of date permit is issued and thereafter is to be diligently pursued to completion. This <br />permit may be canceled by the city upon any stoppage of work on this project over 180-day duration.
