City of Everett
School Impact Fees Handout
2023
2023
SCHOOL IMPACT FEES
School Impact Fees are required for all residential development establishing a new dwelling unit.
The fees listed below are for 2023 and may change in future years. A developer may obtain a
preliminary determination of the total impact fee before submitting an application, however,
because impact fees are not subject to the vested rights doctrine, the fees actually paid by the
developer will be the fees in effect at the time of building permit issuance, regardless of any
preliminary determination. Other fees may be required for your development project, including
traffic mitigation and system development fees for water and sewer connections.
SCHOOL IMPACT FEES (per unit)
District
Single
Multi -family
Multi -family
Duplex and
Family
(0-1 bedrooms)
(2 * bedrooms)
Townhome
Everett
$6,286
$0
$3,834
$3,834
Mukilteo
$1,121
$700
$11,846
$$11,846
QUESTIONS?
• School mitigation fee questions, call 425.257.8731 or email planning@everettwa.gov.
• Traffic mitigation fees call 425.257,8810 and Press 7 or email
PermitServices@everettwa.gov or online at www.everettwa.gov/permits.
• Utility and System Development fees (water/sewer) call 425.257.8810 and Press 6 or online at
www.everettwa.gov/permits,
