(CEC), on behalf of Amazon.com Services, Inc. <br /> (Amazon),prepared the following response to the commentary provided by the City of Everett in <br /> an email dated September 23, 2021. CEC is resubmitting four (4) copies of the revised Tenant <br /> Improvement Site Plans drawing set. The comments are addressed below. <br /> To expedite review, the City of Everett's comment is provided in bold type followed by CEC's <br /> response. <br /> The permit for 6617 Associated Blvd however appears to require some corrections prior to <br /> Planning approval. PW2107-027 indicates the creation of parking stalls on site in areas <br /> previously utilized as loading zones. The new parking areas(located outside of the building) <br /> are subject to the landscaping standards of EMC 19.35.080; no landscaping islands are <br /> identified in the plan set nor was a landscape plan provided.Please review and clarify/revise <br /> accordingly. <br /> RESPONSE: The revised drawing set includes landscape and irrigation plans and details, <br /> Drawings C7.0 through C7.2, for the new parking area that was previously a loading area <br /> located in the rear of the site at 6617 Associated Blvd. CEC is proposing to add five (5) new <br /> landscape islands along the center row of new parking spaces. Combining the new landscape <br /> island area with the existing landscape island area in this parking field,the total proposed area <br /> of landscaping is 2,401 square feet. Per the City of Everett Landscape Ordinance, 1,880 square <br /> feet of landscaping would be required for 94 parking spaces at a ratio of 20 square feet per <br /> parking space. Each parking space will be located within 80 feet of a landscape area. In <br /> addition, 12 trees are required at a ratio of one (1) tree per eight (8) parking spaces for <br /> 94 parking spaces. The existing landscape islands contain four (4) existing trees.
