Per our telephone discussion today, it was clarified that the proposed SOW revisions are limited to a temporary construction condition. The temporary condition involves constructing three vehicle openings (approximately 12.5'x10') by demolishing openings through an interior non-structural, non- bearing metal stud wall on Grid L.1. Based on this SOW, we do not require the issued permit to be revised. The proposed SOW is a temporary condition and is considered as contractor means-and- methods to perform the work included in the approved construction drawings for this permit. The associated temporary roll-up door and mechanical ventilation similarly do not require a permit. Any and all associated electrical work should be performed under a valid permit associated with the approved building permit. The contractor shall obtain signed and sealed details prepared by the architect-of-record (AOR) and engineer-of-record (EOR)to repair the openings and return the wall to its pre-existing condition. The strength and performance of the wall shall be equal or greater to its original condition, and shall comply with all requirements of the building code in effect for this project. These details do not need to be submitted to the City for review unless requested by the building inspector. The contractor shall coordinate with the building inspector on-site during one of the regularly scheduled inspections, prior to closing the openings, and provide a copy of this correspondence.
