My only comment to add to the building division's comments sent on July 30th is regarding <br /> the existing driveway and the three required off-street parking spaces. Because two (2) off- <br /> street parking spaces are required for the single-family residence and one (1) parking space is <br /> required for the detached accessory dwelling unit we will need to see either the existing <br /> driveway expanded to provide for two vehicles parked side by side or a parking pad must be <br /> proposed off the alley.The required parking must be on an approved parking surface; gravel is <br /> not an approved parking surface.To clarify,tandem formation is okay for the single-family <br /> residence on the existing driveway however the third parking space must be located in such a <br /> way where it will not be blocked in by another vehicle.
