Source of funds for this PSA will <br />be 401 – Water & Sewer Utility Fund. <br /> <br /> <br />Project summary statement: <br />The City of Everett (City) owns and operates a single source water supply and <br />distribution system which provides potable water to more than 650,000 residents <br />throughout Snohomish County. The City is interested in evaluating risk for its water <br />supply and distribution system when subjected to natural or manmade large hazard <br />events such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, flood, slides, terrorist attacks, etc. and <br />what mitigation measures are necessary to reduce these risks. <br />Results from this study will be used in the 2025 Risk and Resiliency Assessment of the <br />City of Everett’s water system to fulfil the EPA’s “America’s Water Infrastructure Act of <br />2018” (AWIA) requirement. <br /> <br />Recommendation (exact action requested of Council): <br />Authorize the mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with G&E Engineering for <br />the 2024 Everett Water System Vulnerability Assessment. <br />
