• ORDINANCE NO. n64 An Ordinance providing for emergency expenditures for the re- placement of the sewer on 25th Street from the manhole on the east property line of the Great Northern Right-of-way to Nassau Street and on Nassau Street from 25th Street to Everett Avenue, by re-building manholes and doing all other work necessary to make a complete improvement and also for the payment of that part of the cost, in excess of 41925.00, of improving 35th Street from the manhole at the intersection of 35th Street and Nassau Street to the intersection of 35th Street and Short Street, andShort Street from 35th Street to Fairview Avenue, by the construction of a sewer and its necessary appurten- ances, the issuance of emergency warrants therefor and declaring an emergency. vHEREAS a public emergency other than those specifically declared in Section 6, Chapter 158, Laws of 1923, and which emergen- cy could not have reasonably been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1929, requires the expenditure of money not provided in said budget, Now therefore, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That a public emergency exists which could not have reasonably been foreseen at the time of making the budget for the year 1929, and which emergency requires expenditures in the total estimated sum of 44470.00 over and above the amount provided for in said budget of 1929, and which estimated sum is required for the re-placement of the sewer on 25th Street from the manhole on the east property line of the Great Northern Right- of-'.Way to Nassau Street and Nassau Street from 25th Street to Everett Avenue by re-building manholes and doing all other work necessary to make a complete improvement, sach work being made necessary by re-son of the failure of the present sewer outfall, the estimated cost of such emergency work being 44120.00.
